Rooney has reportedly agreed "in principle" to a $17 million (12.5 million pound) deal with the MLS club that would see the 32-year-old depart Everton, his boyhood club, just 12 months after rejoining them from Manchester United.
The Everton boss has also suggested that Rooney has not informed him that he wants to leave the club and that the pair have not fallen out, but then went on to state that he does not know what is happening with any transfer.
Wayne himself looks set for a new chapter in his footballing career with reports linking him with a move to the MLS and DC United are said to be the closest to his signature.

'If any players want to leave, I'm always comfortable with any player who wants to leave or if any player doesn't want to leave.
