One person was shot and killed after an incident inside a Nashville Mall. At least half a dozen ambulances converged on the scene.

(CNN) - One person has died after sustaining injuries in a shooting at the Opry Mills mall in Nashville, police said at a press conference Thursday.

The suspected gunman has since been taken into custody. "I want to see her; I want to get to her".

Nashville firefighters responded to the scene and took the shooting victim to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, where he remained in critical condition.

Police said two or three people were involved in a physical dispute.
