United States President Donald Trump's trade adviser Peter Navarro has apologized for saying there was a "special place in hell" for Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. It showed a seemingly glowering German Chancellor Angela Merkel and several other leaders appearing to confront a seated Mr Trump.

If the tariffs are implemented, they will be applicable to all countries, including the US' largest imports - Mexico and Canada.
All in all, the U.S. president is, once again, out of tune with even his own allies on key issues, including trade and gender equality guidelines.
The United States is Canada's single biggest trade partner, with two-way exchanges of goods and services totalling $673.9 billion in 2017, and Washington enjoys a $8.4 billion surplus. German Chancellor Angela Merkel also pointed that Europe will have to act accordingly by announcing countermeasures while German Economy Minister Peter Altmaier said that "the European Union will defend its interests and that the U.S. would ultimately lose out if the USA were determined to escalate the trade spat".
Mile of new land created by lava from Hawaii's Kilauea volcano
