Along with Paige the pig, the closing shot debuted our first look at Jade in the sequel - who was the main protagonist in the first game.
More Beyond Good and Evil 2 gameplay will be shown at the behind-closed-doors demo, and we can not wait to hear about all the details. Ubisoft have a partnership with HitRecord, an online collaborative music production company founded by Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
It'll start with radio songs and smaller art pieces in the background, but HitRecord says the scope of what they create for the game could expand from there. Their approach to community collaboration will be first of their kind, and will showcase the first bit of content created for the game at their own conference called BGFest this coming fall.
Storm chances and heat to finish out the weekend
Tonight - Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before midnight, with some of the storms possibly severe. The partly cloudy/party sunny mix should continue through the rest of the week, with highs in the 70s.
Ubisoft's space opera prequel, Beyond Good and Evil 2, is slowly but surely materializing.
The ability for creative Beyond Good And Evil fans to contribute music, art, video footage, even written work to the game's development is undeniably cool and exciting. This game is sure to make a lot of people very happy, and should introduce the incredible world of Beyond Good and Evil to a whole new generation of gamers. The trailer spends more time with each of the characters, showing some sort of intergalactic attack on the planet. Its release date has yet to be announced, and there's no word about which platforms it'll support.
We also see a medic using acupuncture, an engineer, and the two characters - monkey and human - who've been around since the game's initial reveal. You can sign up to participate in the Space Monkey Program at the official Beyond Good and Evil 2 website.
