In a new court filing submitted Tuesday obtained by NBC News, Jolie claimed Pitt has not contributed any "meaningful" child support since this whole mess began, and asked the court to force him to comply.
Jolie's attorneys claimed in the filing that the former couple had "informal arrangements" for the payment of the children's expenses, but stated that Pitt had not adhered to those guidelines.
"[Pitt] has a duty to pay child support".
"From the start, Angelina has been focused on their health and needs, which is why it was so important that this last court hearing be conducted privately", the statement provided by her representative continued.
Just when we thought the dramatic divorce proceedings between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt (aka Brangelina) were coming to a close, it seems there's a new wrinkle to the almost two-year battle.
Nearly two years after the Hollywood power couple separated, Jolie is trying to kickstart the process so that it can be finalised by the end of the year.
Pinoys in Bangladesh asked to stay safe amid nationwide student protests
The students of Jadavpur University raised slogans against Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and burnt her effigy. Protests have flared repeatedly in Dhaka since two students were killed last week by speeding buses.
The "informal arrangement" agreed between the two, Jolie's lawyer states, has not been followed by Pitt however a source familiar with the situation tells Metro.co.uk that "Brad fulfills his commitments".
The divorce filing, citing irreconcilable differences, triggered a bitter custody dispute during which Pitt was investigated and cleared of child abuse. "The motion today was just created to move that process forward on those issues, including financial disclosure and child support", a source close to Jolie explained to E! Their eldest son Maddox was adopted from Cambodia in 2002.
Pitt's attorney Lance Spiegel did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Pitt was later provided with cell phone numbers for each child, in order to text and call them without Jolie's supervision.
"It's just been the hardest time, and we're just kind of coming up for air", she told the magazine, shortly after moving into a $25 million, six-bedroom, 10-bathroom home with her children in the Los Angeles neighborhood Los Feliz.
Jolie's team is asking for a status conference to address the issue.
