Once located, they were reportedly reluctant to leave, but were eventually escorted from the festival in taxi and patrol vehicles.
Whether or not the rebels meant to end up at Wacken Open Air has not been confirmed, but police spokeswoman Merle Neufeld reportedly told public broadcaster Norddeutscher Rundfunk, "They obviously liked the metal festival".
Panicked workers at the nursing home alerted the police after the pair vanished.
