In addition to things like Rage 2 gameplay, id Software showed off some Doom Eternal gameplay today, taking us through two different levels of the game along with a large number of different demons for us to messily butcher.
Doom Eternal looks to be much more open and varied than its somewhat one-note predecessor. Martin and Stratton shared some concept illustrations showcasing the Doomslayer's new armor. Destroy every demon in your path with an upgraded array of guns and mods, including the Super Shotgun's new Meat Hook attachment to pull yourself point blank with the faces of hell.

Cases generally tend to spike during the summer and fall months, between June and September, when activity is the most common. Wear long sleeves and trousers or wear repellent to help protect yourself from getting bitten.
As for the demons, classic characters like the Arch Vile, Arachnotron and Pain Elemental have returned, having been left out of DOOM 2016. According to the team over at Xbox, "After a cataclysmic event almost destroys the planet, you'll emerge from cryosleep to a world long lost to law and order, to one that welcomes chaos and despair in id Software's Rage". For now, rest easy knowing you'll be able to slaughter plenty more demons in plenty more ways wherever you go. Oh yes, I said "players": multiple people can band together to form Slayer Hunting Parties, which should make for some deliciously desperate battles. There's also a new dash feature that allows the player to quickly burst forward before slaughtering large groups of demons. This will be evolving a bit in Eternal, with a new "invasion" mode being added to the campaign. Doom Eternal doesn't have an official release date yet, but whenever it does arrive, it will come to PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch all at once.
