The New England Patriots announced the signing of wide receivers Corey Coleman and Bennie Fowler on Tuesday.

The New England Patriots are expected to sign running back Kenjon Barner, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss.

On Monday, the club waived second-year slot/punt returner Riley McCarron after he muffed a punt in the fourth quarter of the team's season-opening win over the Houston Texans. Then, Coleman didn't make final cuts with the Buffalo Bills, making him a free agent.

The 24-year-old played in 19 games with the Browns but injuries meant he missed significant time.

Tate, selected by the Patriots in the third round of the 2009 National Football League draft, spent his last two seasons with the Bills serving primarily as a kick and punt returner.

Hurricanes Isaac and Florence continue to pose problems for Caribbean countries
Isaac is a strong tropical storm with 60kt sustained winds, now about 675 miles east of the Lesser Antilles. In the Pacific, Olivia became a tropical storm again on a path to hit the Hawaiian islands early Wednesday.

Maybe he will go down a path similar to Phillip Dorsett, who was a spectator for much of his first season in New England before emerging this season.

In two seasons with the Browns, Coleman certainly underachieved, hauling in 56 balls for 718 yards and only five touchdowns.

Barner spent 2017 with the Philadelphia Eagles and had 16 rushes for 57 yards and a touchdown. The 6-foot-1, 212-pounder spent his rookie season on the Broncos practice squad and made his National Football League debut with Denver in 2015.

Barner, 29, was originally drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the sixth round (182nd overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft out of Oregon. Over the past three seasons, Fowler has played in 45 regular-season games with five starts and caught 56 passes for 698 yards and five touchdowns.
