Thompson is a plaintiff in the class action suit against Weinstein, and back in June spoke to NBC News about her experience with Weinstein.
Thompson told Sky News: "Now I see he's trying, in any way he can, to move me into that zone of comfortable then uncomfortable and confused, and vulnerable, and recognizing that he's powerful and I'm not, and that I need this deal from him, and he has the power to give it to me". Thompson told Sky she was thinking of the initial encounter with Weinstein. Dozens more women have accused him of sexual misconduct, assault, and rape. Thompson, who was 28-years-old at the time, met the co-founder of the Weinstein company and Hollywood producer to pitch the idea to him. Give it to me.
Ms Thompson offers a handshake, Weinstein pushes her hand out of the way and hugs her, running his hands up and down her back and murmuring "that's nice, let's keep it up".
As seen in the video, Weinstein expressed genuine interest in the product she was pitching and indicated that her pitch had been successful.
The meeting goes on like that from there.
He then strokes her arm while she continues trying to discuss her business.
At one point in the video, Thompson is explaining to Weinstein how she might be able to help his company promote its movies, but he interrupts her with what reads awfully like a blatant sexual proposition: "You just tell me what I can do and when it's going to happen", Weinstein says as Thompson smiles nervously. A little bit, she tells him.
At the end of the meeting, Thompson and Weinstein made arrangements to meet at a nearby hotel lobby later that night. In her jury seeking action, Thompson says that Weinstein raped her later than day in a almost hotel.
When she arrived to the hotel, Thompson said, Weinstein lead her away from the lobby and into the hotel; she believed he was taking her to a conference room.
Verizon to launch 5G Home Internet service on October 1
Verizon promises speeds of almost 1 gigabit, and you can order service starting this Thursday (September 13) in select markets. Verizon is launching its new 5G service as a home broadband alternative starting on October 1st.
Thompson appears visibly uncomfortable and begins to squirm, saying, "A little bit - a little high, that's a little high, that's a little high".
Thompson recorded the meeting as part of the demo, and in the video obtained by Sky News, it's immediately clear that something is amiss.
Brafman said the video shows "casual, if not awkward, flirting from both parties".
"I never met anyone that I couldn't handle until Harvey Weinstein", she said.
"Anything short of that is meant to make Mr. Weinstein appear inappropriate, and even exploitative", said Benjamin Brafman.
"If he would make a comment, I would try to catch it and return it in a way that felt a little safer than the way he threw it at me".
Thompson's rape allegation is part of a class action lawsuit against the former Hollywood producer, whose career was toppled by a series of rape, sexual assault and harassment allegations past year. They include: film actress Rose McGowan, who said Weinstein raped her in 1997 in Utah; "Sopranos" actress Annabella Sciorra, who said he raped her in her NY apartment in 1992; and the Norwegian actress Natassia Malthe, who said he attacked her in a London hotel room in 2008.
Claiming that the video tried to malign Weinstein for financial gain, Barfman said facts mattered.
