The Eagles are in a bind after they lost running back Jay Ajayi indefinitely due to a torn ACL.

Josh Reed of WIVB in Buffalo reports that the Eagles have reached out to the Bills to discuss the possibility of trading for LeSean McCoy.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported that there is interest in a homecoming for McCoy, but it remains to be seen if the two sides can make a deal work.

Chris Thompson has a rib injury he suffered on the two point conversion attempt in the fourth quarter. Receiver Paul Richardson Jr. stained his knee and tight end Vernon Davis had a hamstring injury.

Ajayi was reportedly injured in the Eagles' 23-21 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.

The Boise State product was traded to Philadelphia from Miami midway through the 2018 season. Well, the Eagles are at least semi-interested, it appears. Speculation also has connected the Eagles to disgruntled Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell. Ajayi totaled 873 rushing yards last season, playing seven games for both the Eagles and Dolphins. A falling out with then-head coach Chip Kelly brought a trade to Buffalo, but Howie Roseman has been back in a prominent personnel role and a different head coach should eliminate any lingering ill will from McCoy. Furthermore, Darren Sproles has missed the last four games with a hamstring injury and Corey Clement, who is expected to play this week, missed the last two games with a quad injury.

Adding either Johnson or Bell would take a serious hit to the Eagles payroll this year and beyond.
