Microsoft no longer discloses Xbox unit sales, but said it in its quarterly report last week, "Gaming revenue increased $842 million or 44%, driven by Xbox software and services revenue growth of 36%, due to third-party title strength, and Xbox hardware revenue growth of 94%, against a low prior year comparable due to timing of the Xbox One X launch in the second quarter of fiscal year 2018". The company said that it sold 5.07 million Switch consoles in the six months ended September 30, up 3.7% compared to Switch sales in the same period in 2017.
Nintendo said on Tuesday, October 30, its first-half net profit jumped 25.4% on-year to $574 million as blockbuster game titles helped boost demand for its popular Switch console. Nintendo didn't really have any major new releases during this period, either, with Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and a Labo Vehicle Kit being the only first-party highlights. Notably, Nintendo said digital sales on the Switch had seen "especially good growth".

Operating profit in the July-September quarter was 30.9 billion yen (about $275 million), up from 23.8 billion yen a year ago. "Instead, Nintendo will rely on a pair of Pokemon titles in November and the latest Super Smash Bros. game in December to drive the Switch during the holiday quarter".
