Samsung has made the Galaxy A9 official, the world's first smartphone to feature four rear cameras.

Probably the biggest highlight of the Galaxy A9 is its quad-camera setup on a single side.

"Talking about the specifications, the Galaxy A9 (2018) sports a 6.3" Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ (1080 x 2220 pixels) resolution. In terms of storage, the phone will have an internal storage capacity of 128GB, which can be expanded via microSD by an additional 512GB. It will be made available in select markets in November 2018. It will eventually be available in three unique colors; Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue and Bubblegum Pink so stay tuned for more updates regarding its pricing. Majority are camera-related and that was to be expected from this device.

And Samsung has just cemented that idea by revealing a phone with a four cameras on it.

Samsung's quad-camera smartphone is capable of taking ultra-wide, 120-degree panoramic shots and also boasts 2x optical zoom.

Assisting the cameras is a new AI-powered Scene Optimizer that uses Scene Recognition to understand what you're photographing and adjust your settings for an optimal capture. The Galaxy A9 will go on sale sometime in November in the United Kingdom and Europe. The Oppo R17 Pro, Samsung Galaxy A7, and LG V40 ThinQ that launched in recent weeks all sport such cameras.

What's interesting about the Galaxy A9 is that it has plenty of decent features. Prices are yet to be announced and models and prices will vary in different worldwide market. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB Type-C, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). An example of this is seen in the new Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) that is the firm's first ever phone with a triple rear camera.

The Galaxy A9 (2018) receives power from 3,8000mAh battery.

There's also a 24MP camera at the front. Samsung did not opt for a notched display on the A9 (2018) which means the South Korean company is yet to launch a smartphone with a notch.
