Past year we included LG's rollable TV concept in our most mind-blowing gadgets from CES 2018, and now the television of the future is back at the popular tech expo in Las Vegas, and is ready to be the companies flagship 4K OLED TV for 2019.
"LG has created a TV with a display that uses revolutionary flexible screen technology that allows the screen to roll up and roll back out when needed", said LG. We the basic features and specs of LG's new OLED and LCD TVs late last week, and we also reported that the TVs will ship with Apple AirPlay support. While no pricing or release information was given at press time, we do have a much better idea of what to expect from this unique TV.
For functions that do not require full screen mode (music control, photo browsing, weather, time and calendar) mode line mode in which the box extends only a portion of the display. Of course, what we're really hoping to see is the long-awaited 65-inch rollable TV, which reports have pegged for the event this year.
When in Zero View, all 65 inches of the LG SIGNATURE OLED TV R are hidden from view and tucked away in the base. The new TV is equipped with LG's second generation of Alpha 9 intelligent processor and deep learning algorithm for a stunning AI picture and sound quality.

Lastly, not to be outdone by Samsung's announcement that its 2019 TVs will support iTunes on its Tizen smart TV platform, LG says that it will support AirPlay 2. just stopping short of creating an iTunes app on the LG TV Store. The "line view" mode partially shows the TV, letting you see the clock, picture or music controls without taking up the full space. The screen has a 3.2.2 channel sound system embedded directly into the display panel which, when combined with Dolby Atmos technology, is reported to result in dynamic audio from a viewer's top, bottom, left and right.
